An established industry player is seeking a Clinical Dietitian II to join their innovative team at the North Liberty Medical Campus. The University of Iowa Health Care department of Food & Nutrition is seeking a Clinical Dietitian II to use Nutrition Care Process to assess, evaluate, and provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and nutrition counseling for patients in program areas as assigned at our North Liberty Medical Campus.
Provides quality patient care including nutrition screening, evaluation, assessment, treatment, and documentation of patient care plan appropriate for complex patients.
Assesses nutritional status and instructs/counsels on appropriate diet.
Participates as active member of departmental/hospital committees concerning problems affecting patients’ food habits and needs.
Participates in health team rounds and short-term projects.
Participates on Clinical Master’s selection committee. Educates students with on-the-job training. Evaluates students. Provides students with necessary support and assistance to ensurework is completed.
Educates/trains new personnel as assigned and acts as a mentor to new personnel.
Conducts peer chart reviews/audits for Dietitian I.
Seeks opportunities to enhance one’s own professional knowledge, skills, and developmentincluding research for publication/presentation, lead monthly CEU program for dietitian staff, obtain advanced credentialing, serve as a clinical resource to peers.
Functional supervision is exercised over Diet Clerks.
Maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the public.
The new University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus will open in the Spring of 2025.This 469,000 square foot facility will be home to UI Health Care’s nationally recognized Orthopedics service line, offering comprehensive, coordinated, and accessible care across the outpatient, inpatient and surgical venues.
