Job Summary

The Clinical Dietitian I provides nutrition education and medical nutrition therapy to patients, working closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to maximize patients' nutritional status and improve clinical outcomes. Primary responsibilities include managing the daily schedule to maximize patient care and providing evidence-based and patient-centered nutrition care. Additional duties may include assisting with projects, presentations, in-services, and training new dietitian staff and dietetic interns after one year of clinical experience.

Degrees
  • Bachelor's of Dietetics, Food Science, or Nutrition required;
  • Master's of Dietetics, Food Science, or Nutrition preferred.
Licenses & Certifications
  • Registered Dietitian prior to hire;
  • Licensed Dietitian (LD) in Texas within 60 days of hire;
  • Eligible certifications include: Advanced Practitioner Certification in Clinical Nutrition (RDN-AP), Board Certification as a Specialist in Renal Nutrition (CSR), Board Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management (CSOWM), Board Certification in Oncology Nutrition (CSO), Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition (CSP), Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC), Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), and Board Certified-Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM).
Work Experience

One year experience in Dietetics/Nutrition preferred.
