Job summary

Morrison Healthcare at Kern Medical Hospital in Bakersfield, CA seeks a Clinical Dietitian to deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy in an acute care setting. You’ll join a collaborative team, support NICU/Pediatric and critical care trauma coverage, and educate patients and families to improve outcomes.

Requirements include RDN registration or eligibility, state licensure, and healthcare experience preferred. This onsite role offers opportunities for growth and CEU support within a leading hospital

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible for examination
• Licensed Dietitian in the state of practice as applicable
• Healthcare experience preferred—new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Clinical Nutrition Care: perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes
• Education: provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community
• Evidence-Based Practice: apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality care
• Quality & Performance Improvement: contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence
• Collaboration & Service Excellence: partner with the food service management team to achieve patient satisfaction and service goals
• Mentorship & Professional Development: support growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable

Hourly Pay:

$40/hour-$54/hour
