Job summary

College Medical Center Long Beach is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our Nutrition Services team and provide clinical dietary interventions in a hospital setting. Current licensure is required; 6+ months clinical experience preferred. Knowledge of therapeutic diets (e.g., renal, cardiac, mechanical soft) is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current valid Registered Dietitian Licensure required.
• 6+ months of clinical work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of various therapeutic diets and associated modifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Familiar with regulatory requirements and HIPAA confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and service of patient and staff meals.
• Apply nutrition knowledge to therapeutic diets and interventions.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Date and label foods; utilize FIFO for new/stocked items.
• Communicate patient information to diet staff and nursing staff.
• Coordinate with nursing staff on appropriate matters.
