What You Will Do

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Food & Nutrition (Required)

Work Experience

• 3+ years Working as a clinical dietitian in an acute hospital

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Completion of an ACEND accredited Supervised Practice Program. (Required proficiency)
• Competent skills to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) & apply the nutrition care process to patient care. (Required proficiency)
• Competent skills to evaluate and recommend nutrition needs based on the specific combined objective/subjective information for a clinical nutrition assessment. (Required proficiency)
• Analytical skills to assess patient’s condition & provide appropriate interventions. (Required proficiency)
• Exhibits appropriate & effective communication/interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients, families, physicians and other health care professionals. (Required proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

• Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the State of Ohio Upon Hire (Required)
• Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration Upon Hire (Required)
• Maintains the required continuing education credits for Registration and License. (Required)
• Required to sit for the Certified Nutritional Support Clinician (CNSC) examination and pass within the first year of work.
