Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a registered dietitian to conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, develop and implement nutrition care plans, and collaborate with an interprofessional team to optimize patient outcomes. This role emphasizes evidence-based practice and ongoing education.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Nutrition, RD/RDN eligibility, and licenses in NE/Iowa within 3 months.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Human Nutrition or equivalency required.
1–2 years previous clinical experience with patients throughout aging continuum preferred.
RD/RDN board eligible, required within 3 months of hire.
LMNT in Nebraska required within 3 months of hire; LD in Iowa required within 3 months of hire.
Knowledge of Joint Commission requirements and Nutrition Care Process.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR documentation.

Responsibilities

Conduct nutrition assessments in the five domains of nutrition assessment per IDNT.
Identify nutrition diagnoses and document PES statements.
Develop nutrition plans and prescriptions with patients and interdisciplinary team.
Implement and communicate nutrition plans; ensure delivery of interventions.
Monitor outcomes and adjust plans to achieve nutrition care goals.
Incorporate SOP/SOPP and evidence-based practice; pursue ongoing education.
Educate patients and caregivers prior to discharge.
