Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Mechanicsburg is seeking a registered dietitian to promote health through personalized nutrition plans, assess patients, develop dietary programs, and educate on post-discharge diets.

You will work with physicians and care teams, document in medical records, and help patients with special dietary needs. We offer supportive environment, tuition reimbursement, 401(k), and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• State licensure required.
• Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics membership preferred.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Food & Nutrition from an accredited program.
• One year of Clinical Dietetics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients per physician orders and diet instruction.
• Collaborate with physicians and other care disciplines.
• Evaluate referral orders to determine adequacy of nutrition intake methods.
• Document pertinent information in the patient’s medical record.
• Implement nutritional care plans, adapt menus, and assist patients with special dietary needs.
• Conduct calorie counts and make appropriate recommendations.
• Review, revise, and sign menus for nutritional adequacy.
