Job summary

Cura-Hospitality is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian to join the Hudson Valley Hospital Center-MAIN team in Cortlandt Manor, NY. The role is on-site, full-time, providing nutrition support to patients/residents and collaborating with the healthcare team.

The position requires passing the CDR examination or eligibility, continuing education, state licensure, and strong knowledge of regulatory standards. Healthcare experience is a plus, with benefits included.

Qualifications

• Passed the national examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration or eligible per Academy standards.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education per five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.
• Healthcare or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients, residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Participate in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
