Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition or related field required.
  • Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a dietitian (RD).
  • Two or more years experience as a Clinical Dietitian preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Palmdale Regional Medical Center serves the region by providing high quality medical services to residents of the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities. The Rehabilitation Institute, the hospital features 184 licensed acute care beds as well as inpatient and outpatient surgery, an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, cardiac services featuring a STEMI Receiving Center (heart attack) and a 35-bed 24-hour emergency department. Essential Job Duties:

To provide food and nutritional care appropriate for all ages including infant, toddlers, pre-school, school age, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients as prescribed by physicians and under the direct supervision of the dietitian for age appropriate food items.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • The ability to effectively use office equipment including, but not limited to, computer, fax machine, calculator, copy machine, keyboard, printer, telephone system.
  • Two or more years experience as a Clinical Dietitian preferred.
  • Completion of all academic and supervised practice requirements as set forth by the American Dietetic Association (ADA) with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition or related field.
  • Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a dietitian (RD), and any certifications as may be required by the state.
  • Maintains Certification in Food Service Sanitation by the Department of Health.
