Full-time, 32 hours per week
Responsible for providing education to outpatients, inpatients, and other staff/community groups as requested by the manager, related to diabetes and the existing population.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics/Nutrition and completion of an accredited Dietetic Internship or equivalent Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) approved program.
Experience:
Participate in hospital-wide orientation and thorough department onboarding, including Skills Inventory completion. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care for the population served.
License(s)/Certification(s):
Licensed by the Iowa State Board of Dietetics Examiners and hold a valid Iowa driver’s license. Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist certification is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work effectively within a team, exercise good judgment, maintain interpersonal relationships, adapt to change, think critically and creatively, and organize effectively. Capable of educating diverse populations about Healthy Living and disease prevention. Demonstrates positive guest relations and can prepare and deliver presentations across various age groups.
