Description

Provides optimal nutrition care for inpatients and outpatients using the Nutrition Care Process, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The process includes nutritional assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and monitoring and evaluation. The incumbent also plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates individualized nutrition education; precepts dietetics and other health professional students; and independently orders diets, supplements, and tube feedings as approved by the Medical Staff Office at each facility.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in dietetics or a related field.
  • Effective July 1, 2019, all newly registered dietitians or dietitians practicing in Indiana must hold an active Indiana license.
  • All current registered dietitians must maintain Indiana certification until their next renewal period.
  • Effective January 1, 2021, all dietitians must have an active Indiana license.
  • Registration-eligible hires are required to obtain their RD and LD credentials within 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to develop medical care plans.
