Job summary

Atlantic Health System in Northern Kentucky is seeking a Dietary Aide to coordinate patient meals with healthcare professionals and nutritionists, taking orders by phone and at the bedside while ensuring cultural and religious preferences are respected.

You will monitor meal tickets and adjust diet orders to comply with prescriptions, and efficiently process new diets, tube feedings and NPO changes with accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient's meal plans with healthcare professionals and nutritionists.
• Takes patient meal orders via phone and at the bedside.
• Assists with meal selections while taking cultural and/or religious preferences into account.
• Monitors patient meal tickets- this includes reviewing and modifying as needed to comply with prescribed diet order.
• Processes new diets, changes, tube feedings and NPO orders efficiently while keeping accurate records.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
