Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Must have current licensure as required by state board where services will be provided (WV, MD, OH).
• State criminal background check and Federal background check as required for regulated areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical nutrition therapy to patients.
• Complete physician-ordered consults and document in medical record.
• Document calorie counts and nutrition assessments.
• Monitor nitrogen balance and metabolic cart studies; report results.
• Coordinate nutrition care plans and orders with physicians and care team.
• Educate patients and families on nutrition plans and follow-up.
• Attend meetings and provide guidance to nutrition therapy staff.
