Job description

The Department of Human Services (DHS), Selinsgrove Center is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Clinical Dietitian. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will plan and organize the nutritional care of residents with developmental disabilities at the Selinsgrove Center. You will develop nutritional care programs, analyze menus for nutritional accuracy, complete new admission and annual nutritional assessments, and make recommendations regarding nutritional care. You will maintain charts, update dietary files, and document all actions regarding patient care in a computerized nutritional management system. In addition, you will implement training for general staff, provide special instructions to food service staff, and monitor nutritional care changes that warrant immediate attention. This role requires excellent communication skills and compassion to ensure therapeutic and prescribed nutritional care is efficiently provided to our residents.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Overtime and travel as needed.
  • Free parking

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirements:

  • You must possess certification as a Registered Dietitian as defined by the Commission on Registration of the American Dietetic Association; or proof of eligibility for such certification.
