Clinical Dietitian
Responsibilities
- Assess the nutritional status of all at-risk patients, pediatric through geriatric as designated by department standards and implement nutrition interventions as appropriate.
- Counsel clients on appropriate population specific nutrition interventions.
- Access, retrieve and document required information through hospital electronic health record.
- Develop and implement programs to meet the needs of physicians, patients, staff and community.
- Acts as a resource of nutrition information for Food Service to implement normal and therapeutic diets.
- Receives and enters telephone orders from licensed independent practitioners for orders that are specific to the services provided by their department.
Qualifications
- Entry Level
- One to two (1-2) years of clinical experience in similar type facility preferred.
- Ability to read, write, hear, speak, and comprehend English language.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in: Dietetics or Nutrition Science
- Completion of an ACEND-accredited Dietetic Internship, coordinated program, Graduate program.
- Licensure to be eligible to practice as a Certified Dietitian in the State of Wisconsin within one year of hire.
- Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire.
Salary Range
Up to $38.00/hr (based on experience)
- Night and evening shift differential
