Responsibilities

  • Provide medical nutrition therapy based on patient diagnosis, treatment goals, and nutritional needs.
  • Monitor nutritional status, weight trends, lab values, and progress; adjust care plans as needed.
  • Develop and oversee therapeutic diets and cycle menus while complying with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, therapists and other healthcare professionals to optimize outcomes.
  • Educate patients, families and caregivers on nutrition topics to promote long-term health and recovery.
  • Ensure food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance in nutrition services.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record.

Compensation: $70,000-$80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Position Overview

Are you passionate about using nutrition to improve lives? We are seeking a Clinical Dietitian to join a collaborative rehabilitation team dedicated to helping individuals recovering from complex neurological and physical injuries achieve greater independence and quality of life.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dietitian who is confident working independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Candidates with approximately two years of clinical experience are preferred, though motivated newer dietitians with strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and a passion for patient care are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
  • Provide medical nutrition therapy based on each patient's diagnosis, treatment goals, and nutritional needs.
  • Monitor nutritional status, weight trends, laboratory values, and overall progress, adjusting care plans as appropriate.
  • Develop and oversee therapeutic diets and cycle menus while maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on nutrition-related topics to promote long-term health and recovery.
  • Ensure food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance throughout nutrition services.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic health record.
Qualifications
  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) as a Dietitian in the State of Nebraska.
