Job summary

Medical City McKinney, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to coordinate patient nutritional care under the supervision of the Director of Food and Nutrition Services. You will contribute to safe, evidence-based nutrition therapy and collaborate with the care team to support optimal patient outcomes.

The role requires a Commission on Dietetic Registration and a registered/licensed dietitian within 90 days; a Bachelor's degree is required.

Qualifications

• Commission Dietetic Registration is required.
• Licensed Dietitian must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Bachelor's Degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient nutritional care under supervision of Director of Food and Nutrition Services.
• Provide nutritional screenings and assessments of patients.
• Educate patients on therapeutic diets.
• Inform Aide staff on approved/disallowed foods based on prescribed diet.
• Document patient tolerance and response to nutritional support; make recommendations.

What you will do in this role:

• You will be a member of Nutrition Support Team with the pharmacist and physician(s).
• You will provide nutritional screenings and assessments of patients.
• You will educate the patient on therapeutic diets.
• You will inform Aide staff in deciding which patient foods are allowed and disallowed based on the prescribed diet.
• You will document the patient’s tolerance, appropriateness, response to nutritional support and make recommendations.

What qualifications you will need:

• Commission Dietetic Registration
• Licensed Dietician must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Bachelors Degree
