Hours and Location
- Hours: 40 hours per week, full-time - Day Shift
- Schedule: Rotating weekends (every 6th weekend), on-site Saturday, on-call Sunday, and on-call during holidays after a 90-day introductory period.

Job Overview
This position is responsible for providing optimal nutritional care to assigned hospitalized and ambulatory patients. Acts as the nutritional expert and patient nutrition advocate within the healthcare team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Public Health
- One (1) year of clinical dietitian experience
- Current registration with the American Dietetic Association and Massachusetts licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nutrition or Public Health
- Specialty certifications
- Two (2) years of clinical dietitian experience
Responsibilities

- Screen patients' nutritional status to determine needs and intervention level, reviewing medical records and attending team rounds.
- Perform nutritional assessments to identify patients at risk, including interviews and analysis of medical history.
- Develop and monitor medical nutrition care plans, transitioning patients to discharge regimens as needed.
- Review physician diet orders for appropriateness and recommend modifications based on patient data.
- Assist in developing and monitoring quality standards for meal service.
- Educate patients and families on diets, documenting counseling and preparing educational materials.
- Create individualized diet plans and provide counseling, including food planning and preparation.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Maintain patient records, including evaluations and progress notes.
- Document nutritional status and care plans in medical records.
- Provide nutritional consultation to medical and nursing staff.
- Engage with community groups, providing education and presentations on nutrition.
- Offer in-service nutrition education to healthcare team members.
- Coordinate with patient service staff to ensure optimal nutrition delivery.
- Collaborate with healthcare team on discharge planning and ongoing nutritional support.
- Supervise nutrition interns during clinical placements, evaluating and mentoring them.
- Participate in policy review, quality improvement, and research projects related to nutrition.
