A leading healthcare provider in Johnson City is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to screen patients for nutritional risks and provide medical nutrition therapy. This role involves working with patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings to improve health outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Dietetics and be eligible for registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Position Overview
The Clinical Dietitian screens patients for nutritional risk and responds to nutrition consults as ordered by providers and the healthcare team. The Clinical Dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy for disease prevention and management to produce positive patient outcomes in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role involves working with patients identified at nutritional risk and those referred by consultation.

Compensation Range:
$30.58 - $45.86 per hour, depending on experience
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
Masters Degree from an accredited dietetics program (a bachelor's degree will be accepted for those grandfathered in based on guidelines set forth by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, specifically for those who graduated prior to January 1, 2024).
Successful completion of a supervised practice program for nutrition.
Must be eligible to sit for the registration examination for Dietitians.
Preferred:
Previous clinical experience in an acute care teaching facility.
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
Eligibility for registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Successful completion of the Registration Examination for Dietitians within 6 months of hire.
Obtain NYS certification as a dietitian-nutritionist (CDN) within 1 year of hire or after passing the Registration Examination.
