Job summary

Saint Francis Healthcare System seeks aClinical Dietitian to deliver medical nutrition therapy for inpatient and outpatient populations, including NICU care. The RD will assess patients, implement nutrition plans, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to improve outcomes.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree with ACEND approval, supervised practice, passing the CDR exam, and Missouri licensure, plus BLS. 32 hours weekly, 8:00am-4:30pm, three NICU days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a US regionally accredited university and ACEND accreditation.
• Complete an ACEND-accredited supervised practice program.
• Passed the national CDR exam to become RD.
• Valid Missouri RD license.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical nutrition therapy using the nutrition care process.
• Assess and re-assess patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Care for diverse age groups including NICU patients (3 days per week).

Job description

Job Summary

The Clinical Dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy using the nutrition care process in the assessment and re-assessment of patients/clients in both individual and group settings. The RD will be responsible for the care of inpatient and outpatient populations of different age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Nutrition care will include oral, enteral, and parenteral regimens.

Shift: 8:00am-4:30pm

3 days per week in NICU

Education

• Bachelor’s degree from a US regionally accredited university or college and course work accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
• Complete an ACEND-accredited supervised practice program
• Passed a national certification examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) to become a Registered Dietitian (RD)
• Valid license as a Registered Dietitian for the state of Missouri

Licensures/Certifications

BLS- required

Experience

• Three years of experience in nutrition and dietetics- preferred
• Two years of experience in clinical dietetics and adult education- preferred
