Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a full-time Clinical Dietitian for MedStar Harbor Hospital located in Baltimore, MD. MedStar Harbor Hospital is a private non-profit 150-bed acute care teaching hospital located along the beautiful Patapsco River in South Baltimore. Come work with a highly skilled Clinical Nutrition Team, with supportive leadership!

This position is Monday-Friday, no weekends!

What You'll Do

• Provide MNT for a variety of adult inpatient units including medical, surgical, and ICU
• Educate patients regarding nutrition therapy for their acute and/or chronic diseases
• Perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays
• Participate in nutrition programming for clinical staff and visitors, and nutrition in-services to Food and Nutrition Services staff

What You Bring

• One year of experience providing medical nutrition therapy to adults in an acute care setting, preferred
• Experience formulating enteral and parenteral nutrition regimens
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR, preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good time management skills
• Self-starter and a team player
• Ability to work well with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire. Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire.
