Job summary

Pioneering Medicines, part of Flagship Pioneering, seeks a Clinical Development Lead to drive the transition from research to early clinical development. You will shape target product profiles, integrate plans with translational and regulatory priorities, and partner across functions to deliver innovative medicines.

Remote options available outside a 30‑mile radius from Cambridge, MA; onsite 4 days per week at Cambridge, MA. Strong leadership and clinical development expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD with strong scientific background.
• Post-graduate experience in clinical research (industry or academia).
• Medical residency completed with subspecialty training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead early clinical development plans through hPOC aligned with TPP.
• Collaborate with senior clinical leaders to refine hypotheses and strategies.
• Integrate clinical plans with translational, nonclinical, and regulatory paths.
• Partner with Research to align outputs with clinical objectives.
• Work with Strategy to ensure plans support program value.
• Incorporate regulatory input and real-world data into plans.
• Collaborate with Project Management on timelines and budgets.
• Prepare materials for governance forums and Joint Steering Committees.
• Identify risks and bottlenecks and drive cross-functional resolution.
• Promote scientific rigor, accountability, and collaboration.
