Job summary

Solventum is seeking a healthcare informatics professional to leverage nursing experience to extract relevant clinical data from electronic health records (EHR) for our end-user products.

You will apply NLP and NLU techniques in clinical settings, support content design, and collaborate with other Solventum teams to ensure accurate, compliant and user-friendly clinical content. Remote work is supported with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in nursing required.
  • Five years of clinical practice/experience.
  • Active RN license.
  • Master’s in biomedical or nursing informatics preferred.
  • Experience with clinical terminology standards (SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm) or clinical NLP.
  • CCD S or CDIP certification or equivalency preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify relevant clinical data from EHR documents using nursing knowledge.
  • Apply NLP and NLU in clinical product contexts.
  • Support informatics and technical requirements for content improvement.
  • Educate and coordinate content use with other departments and customers.

Impact You’ll Make in this Role
  • Utilizing clinical nursing knowledge to identify relevant clinical data from electronic health record (EHR) documents.
  • Providing content support to Solventum end-user products by applying Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Natural Language Understanding (NLU) in a clinical setting.
  • Supporting informatics and technical requirements for continuous improvement of the design and content of Solventum clinical products.
  • Educate and coordinate content utilization with other Solventum departments and customers.
Your Skills and Expertise
  • Associate’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution in Nursing (AS RN, BSN RN)
  • Five (5) years of clinical practice/experience.
  • Active RN license.
  • Master’s degree in biomedical or nursing informatics.
  • Experience working with clinical terminology standards (e.g. SNOMED CT, LOINC and RxNorm) or in clinical Natural Language Processing (NLP) in healthcare.
  • CCDS (Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist) from ACDIS or CDIP (Certified Documentation Integrity Practitioner) from AHIMA certification or Two (2) years CDI equivalency.
  • Good communication, oral presentation and writing skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work well within a fully remote team.

Onboarding Requirement

To improve the onboarding experience, you will have an opportunity to meet with your manager and other new employees as part of the Solventum new employee orientation. As a result, new employees hired for this position will be required to travel to a designated company location for on‑site onboarding during their initial days of employment. Travel arrangements and related expenses will be coordinated and paid for by the company in accordance with its travel policy. Applies to new hires with a start date of October 1st 2025 or later.

The expected compensation range for this position is $96,000 - $132,000, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
