Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) is seeking an Implementation Clinical Consultant to lead clinical operations during infusion product implementations. You will collaborate with hospital clinicians and vendor teams to ensure compliant workflows, develop policies, and support project delivery.

This role requires travel, strong leadership, and expert knowledge of interoperability protocols, particularly HL7.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Degree required.
• 4-6 years of experience in related field.
• Acute care hospital experience; nursing informatics/leadership preferred; pediatric, NICU, oncology desirable.
• Valid driver license; age 21+; travel up to 75–100% with overnight stays.

Overall responsibilities:

The Overall Responsibilities Of The Implementation Clinical Consultant Include

• Demonstratesknowledge and understanding of relevant clinical operations, products, services,and competitive background products.
• Provides clinical leadership to BD customers in the implementation of interoperability and connectivity products.
• Interacts and supports Project Manager to ensure timely and productive implementations.
• Collaborates with hospital cliniciansand EMRvendorto facilitate clinical workflows and participate in the development of policies and procedures.
• Reviews and facilitates customer awareness of common HL7 error codes.
• Escalates issues to clinical and technical SME when appropriate.
• Provides follow up to customers, according to department guidelines/criteria, for the purpose of system assessment, customer satisfaction, problem solving, and evaluation of the BD product/solutions.
• Develops recommendations to assure that customers experience the full benefit and capabilities of solutions implemented.
• Ability to function in a highly regulated industry.

• Establish rapport with customers that is conducive tolong termbusiness relationships.

• Supports mentoring of team members to ensure product and process competency.
• Must possess leadership skills to manage customer teams, negotiate effectively, gain consensus within teams anddeliver concise and consistent communication.
• Guides the review of customer site assessment and facilitates project design and implementation of Infusion products and technologies.
• Provides feedback to Business Operations and Field Trainers for continuous improvement of implementation methodology, tools, and services.

Technical

• Demonstrates knowledge of clinical workflow processes,
• Ability to interact and guide diverse cross-functional teams to achieve desired outcome.
• Demonstrates knowledge of established Infusionproduct implementation methodologies and tools or equivalent industry standards.
• Must be detail oriented and able to coordinate complex projects consistent with established company and customer objectives.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and ability to aid customers in improving current business/practice operations including standardization across hospital systems.
• Demonstrates problem solving, troubleshooting and system consultation as it relates to clinical workflow and best practice considerations.
• Install and supportBDInfusion hardwareand software solutions.
• Influencescustomer acceptance and utilization ofBDInfusion products and services.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Degree required
• 4-6years of experience in related field

• Driving requirements dictate that the candidate possessand maintain a valid driver license and be at least 21 years old.
• Home based position with travel.Travel may range from75 - 100%, overnight travel. Position requires flexible working hours, including some nights and weekends. Ability to work independently from home office.
• Mustbe able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. Thisposition may involve pushing, pulling, stooping,bending,and lifting.
• Upon hire,mustprovide proof of, and maintain current immunizations and obtain additional immunizations appropriate for the facility which enables access to customer sites in order to perform essential job functions. Proofs mustinclude:Hepatitis B, Influenza (current year), MMR (mumps, measles, rubella), Varicella (chicken pox) Annual TB/PPD (skin test), Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis, Covid-19.
• Must meet vendor credential requirements for assigned customer sites.

Preferred

• Acute care hospital experience required preferably with nursing informatics or leadership experience; Pediatric, NICU, and Oncology experience highly desired.
• Specific knowledge ofBD business a plus.
