Position Summary Information

The Part-time Clinical Dentist will work with dental assisting or dental hygiene students and treat patients in our Dental Clinic. The salary is based on experience and academic credentials.

Minimum Qualifications

1. DDS, DMD or DD Degree from an accredited college.
2. N.C. DDS License.
3. One year or more of experience.
4. Current CPR certification.
5. Understand and be committed to the unique nature and role of the College.

Preferred Qualifications

One year or more of experience training students in a Dental Clinic.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assume responsibility for training/teaching/instructing Dental Assisting and/or Dental Hygiene students and treating patients in the Forsyth Tech Dental Clinic.
2. Maintain annual OSHA and Bloodborne Pathogens training as well as educational methodology training as required by CODA.
3. Make recommendations regarding Clinical protocol and procedures.
4. Participate in the assessment/grading of student clinical performance.
5. Provide constructive feedback and remediation to students.
6. Foster diversity, equity and inclusion with colleagues and students.
7. Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
