Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ seeks a tester to support QC testing and UAT for clinical data systems and EDC tools.

You will assist with test plans, scripts, and traceability, while collaborating across Clinical Data Management and Programming teams to ensure clear requirements and proper validation. Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and system validation.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation and execution of QC testing and UAT procedures for clinical data management systems.
• Participate in testing and validation of EDC systems, electronic diaries, devices, IVRS/IWRS, and related tools.
• Assist with test documentation including test plans, scripts, and traceability matrices.
• Collaborate with Clinical Data Management, Programming, Standards and technical teams to ensure requirements are understood.
• Review and verify database configurations, edit checks, reports, and data transfers.
• Identify and communicate testing issues and support resolutions.
• Contribute to project deliverables while ensuring SDLC compliance and SOP adherence.
• Develop knowledge of clinical data management processes and validation methodologies.
• Participate in departmental initiatives and continuous improvement.
