A leading genetics testing company seeks a Clinical Data Specialist I to evaluate patient histories, generate reports, and support research efforts. The ideal candidate has a relevant degree and excellent communication skills, with experience in a clinical setting preferred. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage data accurately while assisting healthcare providers.
Overview JOB DESCRIPTION The Clinical Data Specialist I needs a strong understanding of the products offered at Myriad and the clinical histories that are appropriate for each product. They will ensure that appropriate testing was performed as requested by the health care provider and contact providers to resolve any issues prior to testing. They will review all test results in conjunction with clinical histories and ensure the best possible patient care was given to each and every patient prior to sending out a report to the health care provider. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and strong work ethic are essential to being successful.
This is a technical position. You must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a biological, chemical laboratory science or medical technology area in order to qualify. Shift: Weekdays with the option of 5×8’s or 4×10’s
Pay: $25/hr
The Clinical Data Specialist I (CDS I) role is responsible for:
Lifting Requirements — medium work or exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force consistently. Physical Requirements — stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, observing, reaching, and repetitive motion. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions. Hazards and Atmospheric Conditions — exposure to fumes, dust, extreme temperatures, wet and/or humid, noise, vibration, mists or gases, mechanical hazards, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, and radiant energy hazards. OSHA Category I — duties performed routinely requires exposure to blood, body fluid, and tissue.
