Biorce in Austin, TX is seeking a Clinical Data Specialist to convert unstructured clinical notes, protocols, and medical records into high-quality structured training sets powering the Aika platform.

You will label diverse clinical datasets, support AI training, apply MedDRA/SNOMED coding, and ensure data quality for regulatory-grade outputs, with hybrid work and private health coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, or Health Informatics.
• 2+ years in clinical data management (CDM) or clinical research with data cleaning or medical coding.
• Experience with data labeling tools or NLP concepts in a medical context.
• Deep familiarity with clinical trial phases, protocol design, and regulatory requirements (FDA/EMA).
• An obsessive eye for detail – a mislabeled data point can impact model validity.

Responsibilities

• Dataset Annotation: Lead high-fidelity labeling of clinical datasets (trial protocols, CRFs, literature).
• AI Training Support: Collaborate with AI/Engineering to refine ML models with human-in-the-loop input.
• Standardization: Apply MedDRA, WHODrug, SNOMED CT for interoperability and regulatory compliance.
• Quality Control: Audit annotated data to maintain ground-truth accuracy for regulatory-grade outputs.
• Protocol Intelligence: Extract endpoints, criteria, and biomarkers from documents to boost AI performance.
