Job summary

L.A. Care Health Plan seeks a Clinical Data Analyst II to support quality performance management by building data warehouses, developing ad hoc and production reports, and delivering healthcare outcome measurements for internal and external reporting.

The role requires SAS programming, experience with relational databases, and the ability to translate client specifications into robust data queries. Collaboration with IS analysts and cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or Related Field; In lieu of degree, equivalent education/experience may be considered.
• Master's Degree in Information Systems or Related Field preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in designing, developing, and generating ad hoc/production reports.
• Medium to Advanced SAS programming skills.
• Demonstrated ability to use relational databases for ad hoc reports.
• Ability to work in a team with cross-functional backgrounds.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.
• Strong Excel, Word and MS Access skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop automatic, robust SAS procedures and programs for a clinical data repository.
• Design, develop, and generate ad hoc/production reports.
• Create tools to reduce paperwork and errors; document assumptions clearly.
• Produce periodic results as scheduled and ensure data accuracy.
• Share findings with clinical/operations staff and stakeholders; present at meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
