Job summary

JCCA is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to join our Human Resources team. You will coordinate credentialing and enrollment for clinical providers to ensure timely onboarding and compliance with licensing, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.

Working with the Managed Care Supervisor, HR onboarding, and external vendors, you will monitor licenses, review provider files, and resolve issues while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy across systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare provider credentialing, enrollment, and accreditation principles, processes, documentation, and requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and provider files simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze information, identify discrepancies, troubleshoot issues, and exercise independent judgment.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication and collaboration with the HR and clinical teams.
• Strong organizational skills and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive provider information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to learn and effectively use new systems, databases, and applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate credentialing and enrollment data entry, updates, and maintenance in systems such as CAQH and PECOS.
• Manage credentialing and enrollment activities to ensure timely submissions and compliance.
• Monitor licenses, registrations, and board certifications and track expiration dates for renewals.
• Review provider files for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies that could delay credentialing or enrollment.
• Collaborate with clinical providers and HR teams to obtain required information and respond to credentialing questions.
• Work with external credentialing vendors to facilitate timely onboarding of practitioners.
• Maintain accurate records and protect confidential provider information.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
