Job summary

School of Social Work at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign seeks a Work Group Specialist/Clinical Counselor to provide counseling support to departments, programs, leadership, retirees, and household members within the university community.

You will deliver coaching, work group series, mediation, and process groups, along with leadership consultations, clinical assessments, crisis intervention, and referrals.

Qualifications

• Licensed counselor with MSW or psychology degree and LCPC or LCSW licensing (or equivalent).
• 2–5 years of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching, topic-driven presentations, work group series, mediation, and process groups for university staff and faculty.
• Offer leadership consultations to administrators and supervisors to identify workplace issues and referrals.
• Conduct clinical assessments, short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and referrals for treatment for university members and households.
• Develop outreach on work/life integration and crisis response; collaborate with HR and Organizational Development.
• Ensure confidentiality and adherence to office procedures in client services.
