Job summary

California Correctional Health Care Services is seeking a Clinical Counselor for the ISUDT/Complex Care Program across multiple California locations, including Bakersfield, Santa Ana, and Rancho Cucamonga.

Under the supervision of the Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker, you will provide counseling interventions for incarcerated individuals with Substance Use Disorder and assist with transitional care planning and resource linkage to support successful reintegration.

Qualifications

• Counseling interventions and psychotherapeutic techniques for treating Substance Use Disorder (SUD) in incarcerated individuals.
• Ability to perform assessments to aid transitional care planning and coordination.
• Work under the Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker in Medical Services, Integrated Care & Complex Patient Populations Division.

Responsibilities

• Apply counseling interventions and psychotherapeutic techniques within applicable laws and license scope.
• Perform assessments to support transitional care planning and linkage to external resources.
• Coordinate care for incarcerated patients within ISUDT/Complex Care Program at designated locations.
