Job summary

California Correctional Health Care Services is seeking a Clinical Counselor to deliver counseling interventions and psychotherapeutic techniques for incarcerated individuals with Substance Use Disorder within the ISUDT/Complex Care Program.

You will perform assessments to support transitional care planning and coordinate links to community resources, working across Bakersfield, Santa Ana and Rancho Cucamonga regional offices.

Responsibilities

• The Clinical Counselor applies counseling interventions and psychotherapeutic techniques within the scope of applicable Business and Professions Code(s) and license for treating incarcerated individuals with Substance Use Disorder (SUD).
• Performs assessments that assist with transitional care planning and coordination linking incarcerated patients with resources.
