CoxHealth is seeking a Counselor to join the Psychological Services SGF team in Springfield, MO. The role involves conducting psychosocial assessments and delivering care within an interdisciplinary framework to support patient and family healthcare goals.

An MS in counseling is required, with 1–2 years of experience and licensure options (LCSW/LMSW, LPC, LMFT, PhD/PsyD) or provisional license pursued within 120 days. Travel between two nearby hospitals is expected.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in counseling or related field required.
• 1–2 years experience with diverse patient populations preferred.
• Ability to work within scope of practice and collaboratively in teams.
• Knowledge of community resources to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide care through therapeutic use of self.
• Work with the interdisciplinary team to implement standards and care plans.
• Collaborate with medical director and clinic manager to ensure quality outcomes.
• Flexibility to travel between two hospitals 30 minutes apart.
