MHC Mental Health Cooperative, Inc. is offering an Advanced Social Work or Counseling Internship for master’s level students. This program provides an opportunity to learn clinical therapeutic skills, conduct client assessments, develop treatment and discharge plans, and maintain detailed documentation.

Interns will manage a small caseload of clients under supervision and utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, attending training opportunities to enhance their skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s level student in social work, counseling, or psychology.
• Commit to a two-semester internship.
• Willing to manage a small caseload under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Carry a small caseload of clients and provide psychotherapy.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as TF-CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, CBT, DBT, and play therapy.
• Conduct client assessments, develop treatment and discharge plans, and document work.
• Participate in the client’s treatment team with other departments across the agency.
• Attend additional learning and training opportunities.
