Job description

mpathic is an AI-powered conversation analytics platform designed to enhance communication in healthcare and life sciences. It offers three core products: mTrial (clinical trial quality assurance), mConsult (patient/client engagement optimization), and mPulse (post-market surveillance). mpathic's AI analyzes conversations to identify behaviors that impact outcomes, improving accuracy and reducing costs. The platform prioritizes data privacy and security, adhering to standards like HIPAA and GDPR. It's used by various organizations, including pharmaceutical companies and clinical research organizations, to improve patient safety, trial integrity, and overall communication effectiveness.

Responsibilities:
  1. Serve as Gold Standard annotator for all mpathic labeling manuals and maintain reliability with the labeling team.
  2. Label transcripts as needed across customers using mpathic’s proprietary system.
  3. Conduct the preparation for and leading of annotation team meetings.
  4. Assign and track completion of annotator assignments.
  5. Assist in the creation of synthetic data and sourcing data resources for mpathic detections.
  6. Lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge machine learning models and algorithms focused on NLP and LLM-driven solutions.
  7. Partner with diverse teams, including software engineers, product managers, and domain experts, to define and fulfill project objectives.
  8. Conduct thorough analysis of large-scale and complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and determine applications for LLMs.
  9. Stay current with the latest advancements in NLP, Conversational AI, and LLM technologies to continually enhance our product offerings.
  10. Mentor junior team members, encouraging a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing.
Experience Requirements:
  1. Completed a master's or doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, social work or similar with a minimum of 5 years experience.
  2. Experience with qualitative clinical coding systems in research or clinical practice.
  3. Demonstrated history of remote work, telecommuting.
  4. Interest in NLP, AI, ML, speech signal processing and other automated systems of assessing human behavior.
  5. Experience with report writing for external stakeholders.
Other Requirements:
  1. Ability to telecommute (e.g., internet and computer setup).
  2. Previous supervisory experience.
  3. Ability to provide constructive and timely feedback.
  4. Good organizational skills, attentive to details, and able to multitask.
  5. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  6. Comfort or past experience with Excel or Google Sheets and Slack.
  7. Tolerates ambiguity and has tools for working through those moments of discomfort.
  8. Awareness of the importance of confidentiality and the responsible handling of sensitive data.
  9. Seeks out and integrates constructive feedback.
  10. Brings knowledge of or active interest in learning about cloud-based machine learning systems, including monitoring and automated training (ML Ops).
  11. Loves all things automation and enjoys figuring out new ways to automate development processes.
