Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
  • Active NY LCSW or LMHC license.
  • Experience providing behavioral health services, clinical assessments, crisis intervention, or case coordination.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation/case management systems.
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Services: Conduct psychosocial assessments, support clinical evaluations, and provide behavioral health expertise for clients with mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders.
  • Care Coordination: Partner with case management teams and program leadership to coordinate client care, develop service recommendations, and facilitate referrals to community providers.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation support, safety planning, and clinical guidance for complex client situations.
  • Staff Support: Coach staff on trauma-informed care, behavioral health best practices, and client engagement strategies.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Complete and maintain timely clinical documentation while ensuring compliance with agency policies, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards.
  • Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case conferences, psychoeducational groups, and quality improvement initiatives.

Job Overview – Clinical Coordinator (Temporary to Permanent)
Compensation: $53.00–$90.00/hour + benefits
Location: New York City, NY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Clinical Coordinator (Temporary to Permanent) for our client, supporting behavioral health services within a community-based residential program serving vulnerable populations. This clinical leadership role will provide behavioral health expertise, conduct assessments, support case management teams, coordinate client care, and promote trauma-informed service delivery. The ideal candidate will be a licensed behavioral health professional with strong clinical assessment skills, experience supporting individuals with complex behavioral health needs, and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary environment. Candidates who can independently perform psychiatric evaluations are strongly preferred.

Qualifications for the Clinical Coordinator:
  • Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Licensure: Active New York State LCSW or LMHC license is required.
  • Experience: Experience providing behavioral health services, clinical assessments, crisis intervention, or case coordination within human services, behavioral health, or residential programs is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, behavioral health challenges, or other vulnerable populations is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic documentation or case management systems is required.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, crisis intervention, organizational, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams are required. The ability to independently perform psychiatric evaluations and bilingual Spanish language skills are preferred.
