The Role

Under the general direction of the Program Director or Designee, the Clinical Coordinator will provide clinical and administrative supervision to Client Care Coordinators/Social Workers and Interns, as well as direct clinical services to clients with substance or mental health needs. This role also involves managing daily clinical operations, monitoring service quality, and supporting the mission of Samaritan Daytop Village.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

• Provide clinical supervision to Care Coordinators/Social Workers and Interns, assessing learning needs, developing supervision plans, and conducting performance reviews.
• Ensure accurate, complete, and timely documentation of client treatment records, complying with regulatory and agency standards.
• Deliver direct clinical services to individuals, families, and groups, completing documentation within required timeframes and standards.
• Conduct scheduled clinical and administrative supervision with staff.
• Identify staff training needs and develop or conduct training to maintain and improve clinical competencies.
• Review/support housing applications and psychiatric evaluations as needed.
• Provide information on referral sources and maintain linkage agreements.
• Ensure timely incident follow-up.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences as required.

Qualifications

Who You Will Be

• Master’s Degree in Social Work.
• NYS LMSW license for Single Transitional Housing Sites with 1-2 years of clinical supervision experience.
• NYS LCSW license for Family Transitional Housing Sites with at least 6 months of clinical supervision experience.
• Ability to supervise, train, and teach providers across multiple sites.
• In-depth knowledge of NYC’s healthcare and behavioral health network, including substance use disorder treatment.
• Knowledge of evidence-based treatments, managed care principles, and behavioral practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR systems.
• Strong written, interpersonal, verbal, and documentation skills.
• Experience working with diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups.
