Job summary

Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Respiratory Care operations leader. You will oversee daily respiratory department operations under medical direction and support the Director in QA program development and adherence to current practice standards.

Responsibilities include staff selection/orientation, scheduling, policy updates, and ensuring adequate supplies for safe testing and patient care.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills.
• Minimum of 5 years as a Respiratory Therapist
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills for Respiratory Therapist duties.
• Strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work within a budget.

Oversees and coordinates the day-to-day operations of Respiratory Care under medical direction to ensure safe and accurate testing. Collaborates with the Director to develop and implement a Quality Assurance Program and to ensure testing meets current practice standards.

Job Profile Summary :

Oversees and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Respiratory Department and collaborates with the Director to develop and implement education, facilitate clinical operations, and support daily operations. They are responsible for assisting with staff selection, orientation of staff, scheduling staff, ensuring policy and procedures reflect current practice standards as well as ensuring Respiratory Department is stocked with adequate and appropriate supplies.

Education/Training:

• Graduate of an AMA approved program for Respiratory Care.
• AS or BA/BS preferred.

Licenses/Certification:

• Current MA Respiratory license
• RRT Required
• NRP Required
• BLS Required

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Excellent organizational skills.
• Minimum of 5 years as a Respiratory Therapist
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to perform all the functions contained in the Respiratory Therapist's Job Descriptions.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work within a budget.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Able to communicate effectively with all age groups
• Command of verbal and written English, demonstration of clinical competence, ability to set up a variety of clinical equipment.

Salary Range: $38.07-$59.08 -
