Job summary

Frankfort Regional Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Coordinator Educator RRT to support the respiratory therapy department. You will assist with clinical education, lead initiatives, and collaborate on daily operations alongside Lead Therapists.

The role includes supervising students when directed, maintaining CAP accreditation, and contributing to policy development and staff scheduling.

Qualifications

• BCLS obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Respiratory Therapist Practitioner licensure or equivalent (RRT/RCP-State).
• Bachelor's degree required; NBRC-RRT or NBRC-CRT credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinical education and leadership initiatives for RT staff.
• Direct supervision of students as directed by the Director of Respiratory Therapy.
• Maintain CAP accreditation and rotate on-call shift responsibilities with Lead Therapists.

Job Summary And Qualifications

• In addition to Lead Respiratory Therapist responsibilities, the Clinical Coordinator will provide assistance with clinical education and leadership initiatives to the RT staff, as well as assistance with day to day departmental operations.
• Job may include direct supervision of students at the discretion of the Director of Respiratory Therapy.
• Direct supervision means the Clinical Coordinator is readily available to the student throughout the shift.
• At Frankfort Regional Medical Center, the Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining CAP accreditation, maintaining respiratory equipment, and rotating on call shift responsibilities with Lead Therapists.
• Assists with in-services and staff education, daily evaluation of patient charts for regulatory compliance audits, staff evaluations and primary preceptor for new employees.
• Assists with development and implementation of new policies and procedures. Completes and maintains the monthly staff schedule.
• Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively meet the needs of the patient.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner
• Bachelors Degree
• (NBRC-RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist, or (NBRC-CRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist
