DiveThru is seeking a Registered Psychologist to join as Clinical Consultant, working with the Director of Counselling to provide psychology-specific expertise beyond individual practice. The role complements leadership while collaborating with professionals across disciplines.

This position operates as a six-month pilot, evaluating consultation needs, role clarity, and future development opportunities. Remote work with leadership coordination and compensation at $100/hour.

Qualifications

• Registered Psychologist with Alberta registration and good standing.
• Experience navigating complex clinical situations across populations.
• Strong ethical reasoning and professional judgment.
• Understanding of psychology standards, ethics, and expectations.
• Experience providing professional or peer consultation within competence.
• Knowledge of scope of practice, confidentiality, documentation and boundaries.
• Awareness of limits of authority and need for external consultation when required.
• Collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to care and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide focused consultation on complex or higher-risk clinical situations, ethics, boundaries, documentation, and standards.
• Offer same-designation consultation to fellow psychologists when beneficial.
• Contribute psychology-specific analysis for regulatory or practice considerations.
• Review clinical policies, protocols, tools, or models of care upon request.
• Provide input on complex client concerns, incidents, or complaints.
• Identify options, uncertainties, and areas needing further consultation.
• Distinguish professional opinions from organizational direction.
• Recognize conflicts of interest and recuse when required.
• Collaborate with Director of Counselling and leaders on broader implications.
• Maintain appropriate documentation of consultation per role process.
