Job Overview

The Clinical Consultant II, Surgical Synergy provides clinical, technical, and product knowledge support to customers, building and maintaining relationships, and providing training at all levels. Responsible for key customer reports supporting Medtronic Neurosurgery/Navigation/Robotic Assisted Surgery products and services, adhering to Quality System and BCS requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and support on-site installations with customers.
  • Represent Medtronic during procedures to provide technical assistance.
  • Maintain and upgrade system hardware and software.
  • Provide telephone clinical support.
  • Use UNIX/LINUX commands for operating file modifications.
  • Fulfill Software and Service Contract obligations.
  • Act as primary liaison for repair and technical support issues.
  • Educate and train physicians and hospital staff on technical matters.
  • Participate in customer training and provide resources for hospital staff.
  • Collaborate with sales and support teams to identify new users and opportunities.
  • Attend meetings, training, conventions, and trade shows.
  • Support new product development with field insights.
  • Document installations and adhere to company policies.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED with 6+ years of clinical or medical imaging/navigation/robotics experience.
  • Associate’s Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • RT and/or MRI certification.
  • Experience with Image Guided Systems and MRI.
  • Operating room experience.
Additional Requirements
  • Must function using healthcare universal precautions.
  • Availability for travel, including weekends and evenings.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work long hours on feet.
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
