Job summary

Advanced Rx Pharmacy is a physician-owned clinical and compounding pharmacy associated with Advanced Pain Care. We are seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support high-volume operations, compound preparation, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong communication with physicians and patients, proficiency in non-sterile compounding, and adherence to HIPAA standards. Flexible scheduling and professional development opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in high volume pharmacies.
• Maintains certifications and continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with physicians, patients and insurers regularly.
• Receive refill requests and obtain physician authorization.
• Prepare non-sterile compounds (creams, suspensions, ointments, capsules).
• Accurately weigh and combine ingredients per formulas and guidelines.
• Package and label medications in appropriate dispensing devices.
• Ensure pharmacist review and sign-off before preparation.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and complete training as required.
• Process third-party claims and TARs; stock drugs and supplies.
