Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks a Professional Coding Auditor & Educator to collaborate with physicians and coding staff to ensure accurate clinical documentation for proper reimbursement and quality reporting. The role includes auditing, educating on regulations, and improving charge capture across departments.

The ideal candidate holds CPC/CCS certification with 3+ years of hands-on auditing experience and strong knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and payer policies.

Qualifications

• CPC or CCS certification required (AAPC/AHIMA).
• 3+ years hands-on auditing experience required (not just coding).
• Billing experience in urgent care or multi-specialty settings required.
• Direct experience educating physicians/providers on documentation and coding requirements.
• Experience using coding resources/tools (AMA guidelines, payer policies, online resources) to support audit decisions.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze department clinical documentation to ensure accurate charge capture and submission.
• Educate departments on CMS, state, and payer regulations related to charges.
• Collaborate with Coding Supervisor to ensure high-risk documentation is consistent and complete.
• Identify inconsistencies in medical reports and work with healthcare staff to improve charge capture and error correction.
• Meet daily production standards.
• Audit providers on documentation and assigning accurate CPT and ICD-10 codes.
