Job summary

Four Winds Health seeks a Coding Provider Liaison (Professional Coding Auditor & Educator) to work with physicians, coding staff and other clinicians to ensure the medical record accurately reflects services, enabling proper utilization, severity, outcomes and compliant reimbursement.

You will review documentation, educate departments on CMS, state and payer requirements, collaborate with the Coding Supervisor, and audit providers on CPT and ICD-10 codes in a high-volume urgent

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Active CPC or CCS Certification from AAPC or AHIMA required.
• 3+ years of hands‑on auditing experience (not just coding) required.
• Professional billing experience in an urgent care or multi‑specialty environment required.
• Direct experience educating physicians/providers on documentation and coding requirements required.
• Experience using coding resources/tools (e.g., AMA guidelines, payer policies, online resources) to support audit decisions required.
• Energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to work under pressure in a high volume, fast paced environment with high growth

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze all aspects of the department clinical documentation to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant charge capture and submission.
• Educate departments on CMS, the State, and payer regulations related to these charges.
• Collaborate with Coding Supervisor to ensure clinical documentation in high-risk areas is consistent and complete.
• Identify inconsistencies in medical reports and works with healthcare staff to improve charge capture and error correction.
• Audit providers on documentation and assigning accurate CPT and ICD-10 codes.
