Job summary

Douglas County, GA is seeking a Juvenile Programs Clinical Case Manager to provide assessments, treatment recommendations, and therapeutic services for participants in Family Treatment Court and CHANCE Court. The role will split time between the two courts and serve as an active member on both teams.

Responsibilities include administering diagnostic assessments, developing strength-based service plans, monitoring treatment progress, maintaining electronic records, coordinating with treatment

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience providing mental health, substance use services.
  • Anequivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • DBTtraining preferred

Responsibilities

  • Administer diagnostic and developmental assessments and provide ASAM Level treatment recommendations.
  • Develop strength-based service plans, monitor progress, and maintain electronic records.
  • Provide ongoing assessment, crisis intervention, and individual/group therapy; assist with case management.
  • Evaluate and document client functioning and progress toward goals.
  • Conduct involuntary commitment evaluations as required.
  • Provide guidance to treatment providers for Family Treatment Court and CHANCE Court clients.
  • Collaborate with court staff and treatment teams; participate in staffing and court meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job description

SALARY:

$64,576.51 ($31.04/ hourly) plus full benefits package

SUMMARY

JuvenilePrograms Clinical Case Manager will provide assessments, treatmentrecommendations, and therapeutic services to participants in our FTC and inCHANCE Court, our new juvenile mental health court. This position will splittime between the two courts and will serve as an active member on both teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Administeringdiagnostic and developmental assessments of clients, including providing ASAMLevel treatment recommendations for Family Treatment Court and diagnosticimpression and treatment recommendations for CHANCE Court
  • Developingstrength-based service plans, monitoring treatment progress, and maintainingelectronic records and other reporting data for individuals referred to and/orparticipating in the Family Treatment Court and CHANCE Court
  • Providingon-going assessment, crisis intervention, individual and group therapy andassisting with case management services
  • Evaluatingand documenting client’s level of functioning and progress toward attainment ofgoals
  • Conductinginvoluntary commitment evaluations and executing involuntary commitment ofclients as required
  • Providingconsultation and guidance to treatment providers as it pertains to FamilyTreatment Court and CHANCE Court clients
  • Collaboratingwith Family Treatment Court and CHANCE Court Coordinator, Case Managers andother team members regarding treatment
  • Participatesin staffing, court, treatment team meetings and client case staffing
  • Performingother duties as assigned

MINIMUM EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE:
  • Master’sDegree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field required
  • Minimum2 years’ experience providing mental health, substance use services
  • Anequivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • DBTtraining preferred
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Mustmeet all eligibility requirements established by the Board of Commissioners
  • Must bewilling to submit to random drug and alcohol screening as directed
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES,REGISTRATIONS:

Possessand maintain a valid Georgia Driver's License (Class C) and a satisfactory motorvehicle record (MVR) if assigned job duties requiring the use of a vehicle

  • Abilityto complete ASAM Level assessments and make treatment recommendations
  • Abilityto use technology such as spreadsheet, database, word processors

  • Abilityto exercise judgment, decisiveness, creativity in situations
  • JuvenileCourt and Accountability Court knowledge preferred
