Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in Jersey City is seeking a Clinical Care Technician to work under direct supervision of a nurse. You will assist with data collection and patient observation, contributing to the nursing team’s care plan.

Responsibilities include supporting the nurse, performing designated tasks, and maintaining patient comfort and safety in the Intensive Care Unit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• BLS Certification through American Heart Association only.
• Enrolled in a Nursing Program, current EMT certification, Medical Assistant Certified, Phlebotomist Certified, EKG tech or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist the nurse in gathering information and observations of the patient’s condition.
• Perform specific duties as an integral part of the nursing team.

Job Overview

The Patient Care Technician functions under the direct supervision of a professional nurse. He/she performs specific duties and is considered an integral part of the nursing team. He/she will assist the nurse in gathering information and making observations regarding the patient’s condition.
