Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to patients under RN direction, including vital signs and bedside care.
  • Assist with phlebotomy and other patient care tasks.

Job description

Job Overview:

In this role, you will work under the direction of the RN to provide care to the patients on the unit. Some of the responsibilities include but are not limited to: Taking vital signs, EKGS, performing phlebotomy, assisting or providing patients with bedside care, i.e. bathing, mouth care, skin care. Every other weekend and holiday required.

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • BLS required through American Heart Association

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in patient care preferred
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with others effectively
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • AHA BLS
