RWJBarnabas Health's Trinitas Regional Medical Center Oncology Unit in Elizabeth, NJ is seeking a Clinical Care Technician (CCT) for the full-time evening shift. This role supports the nursing team under direct supervision, assisting with patient observations and information gathering in the 23-bed Oncology unit.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma, BLS certification, and are enrolled in a nursing program or possess related certifications such as EMT, Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy,

• BLS certification through American Heart Association required.
• Enrolled in a Nursing Program or equivalent credentials (EMT, MA, phlebotomy, EKG tech) preferred or required by department.

Responsabilidades

• Promotes patient and family-centered care with RN.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatments and interventions.
• Prepare patient environment for admission or transfer.
• Greet and escort newly admitted patients and orient them to surroundings.
• Ensure patients wear identification bands.
• Assist with meals and feeding; report intake to RN.

Pay Range: $21.04 - $26.19 per hour

Trinitas Oncology Care Unit 23 bed capacity. Our care management consists of care bundles based on evidence-based practices that are executed with compassion and caring. The Clinical Care Technician functions under the direct supervision of a professional nurse. He/she performs specific duties and is considered an integral part of the nursing team. He/she will assist the nurse in gathering information and making observations regarding the patient's condition.

Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Typical day may include

• Promotes and implements in conjunction with RN the concept of patient and family-centered care
• Observes and reports patient responses to intervention treatments
• Prepare the patient environment for admission or transfer from another area of hospital
• Greet and escorts newly admitted patients and families to patient rooms and orients to surroundings
• Assures that all patients always have appropriate identification bands on
• Prepares patient for meals, assists in feeding and/or feeds patient and reports food intake to RN

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• BLS Certification through American Heart Association only
• Enrolled in a Nursing Program, current EMT certification, Medical Assistant Certified, Phlebotomist Certified, EKG tech or equivalent

Scheduling Requirements

• Nights 3:00PM - 11:30PM
• Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs
• Full-Time (40 hrs)
• Mandatory Orientation
