Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Clinical Care Technician (CCT) for the Day shift at RWJUH Hamilton Hospital. The role involves supporting RNs with hands-on care, vital signs, and patient transport while maintaining safety and comfort for patients in Medical Unit-II.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and a current AHA BLS certification. Previous CNA or clinical experience is preferred; 24 hours per week, hourly pay range listed, and benefits aligned with hospital guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED and current BLS certification.
• Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical program experience preferred or CNA certificate.
• Ability to document accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
• Comfort working in a fast-paced hospital environment and delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and bedside care.
• Monitor vital signs and track patient health status.
• Document patient information in EHRs with confidentiality.
• Follow infection control protocols to keep patients and staff safe.
• Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate care plans.
• Provide care to patients, including activities of daily living per age-appropriate criteria.
• Support emergency response with BLS as needed.
• Collaborate in patient care plans from admission to discharge.
